This can include Skilled Nursing services for medication management, wound care & dressing changes, IV therapy, catheter care, pre and post-op care, and more. Additionally, Home Health Care can include Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy within your home to work to return patients to their optimal level of function following an accident, surgery, or acute/chronic illness as well as assisting with fall prevention and pain relief.
While Home Health and Home Care can often go hand in hand, you do not need to have Home Care services in order to elect Home Health services. Meaning, you have the flexibility to elect Home Health skilled services without being required to have Home Care services and vice versa.
